The purpose of this book is to bring to light a part of breweriana collecting and history that has never been seriously researched or documented. As can be seen by the title of this publication, it is mainly referring to the large, long-stemmed, beer goblets that were commonly used during the 1930s to 1980s (they were most heavily used from the mid 1950s to the early 1970s). For over twenty years I have, with help of many other collectors, made an effort to accumulate as many of these interesting brewery goblets as we could find. It should be mentioned, that all of the goblets shown in this publication are directly associated to specific brewing companies. Also, only brewers from North America are included. Many of these large goblets are from breweries that have long gone out of business or have been gobbled up by giant multinational brewing conglomerates. In other words, this book mainly covers a period of time in which the brewing industry was changing very rapidly.

In order to make the collecting and documenting of these goblets more interesting, I have added a short history of each of these breweries. In so doing, I hoped to give each goblet a little better chance of coming alive to the reader. This addition consumed a great deal of time, but I found it highly interesting and educational when it comes to understanding each brewery. Countless sources were used, in one way or the other, in an effort to be very truthful and accurate.

In 2011, I came out with the first edition of Beer Goblet & More. It was a book that included 194 pages. As it turned out, it was a bare introduction into the subject. However, it did create some interest by many collector friends, to continue the documentation project. The present result shows how successful this has been. This publication is now well over 800 pages and continues to grow! As in the past, I'm hoping that more goblets can be found and documented. Only in this way can this research project be successfully completed.
