5. Use AI as a discriminator for Environmental teams & winning bids and Levels of AI learning (LinkedIn).

These are modern times indeed and the world is spinning very quickly for the likes of you, me, and fellow Environmental remediation and services professionals. Your education, skills, and experience in Environmental remediation and optimized contracts allow a ‘peek’ into the way ahead for to implement Artificial Intelligence suite of capabilities for future execution (Machine Learning, Automation, Robotics, Data Science, Natural Language Programming, Neural Networks, etc), also DevSecOps, and Cyber capabilities (offensive & defensive).
The Federal government employs Remediation Process Optimization (RPO), Optimized Remediation Contracts (ORCs), and Environmental Services and Operations (ESO) contracts to accelerate cleanup, limit investigations, to move more quickly to active clean-up. This decreases remediation costs and lowers cost growth. The key milestone is the return of property to beneficial use. AI supports this goal with the use of innovative approaches, single contractor and single integrated plans, rather than multiple contractors and multiple plans. This focuses the total team on clean-up as the primary goal with administrative and contractual actions a subordinate goal.
For DOE, the Remediation Process Optimization (RPO) is the systematic evaluation and enhancement of site remediation processes to ensure that human health and the environment are being protected over the long term at minimum risk and cost. For the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), many projects require Environmental Assessments (EAs) or Environmental Impact Statements (EISs) under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
