Synopsis:
Martine Carter is a young Caucasian girl who lives in a beautiful mansion with her mother, stepsister, and wealthy stepfather, Michael Jones. A strained relationship with her stepfather forces Martine to reminisce about her biological father, which causes her to constantly ask her mother to leave her husband.

Jake Hart is a young Caucasian man with a college degree in criminal justice who fails to find a decent job. With the help of three incompetent accomplices, Jake plans to kidnap Martine for ransom. When one of his accomplices suggests kidnapping Martine's eight-year-old sister instead, Jake vehemently declines the request, simply because he is against younger kids cutting classes. When Jake and his crew demand a heavy ransom after kidnapping Martine, her stubborn stepfather refuses to part with his money. As a consequence, they kidnap his biological daughter, asking him for the ransom along with late payment fees. Compelled, Michael, with the help of Martine's father, pays the ransom in full and gets the girls back.

Later on, Jake regrets his wickedness after falling in love with Martine. He returns the money and confesses his crime to the family hoping for their forgiveness, which causes a major fallout between him and his accomplices. Consequently, he becomes a targeted man. To avoid his pursuers, Jake flees to Paris, France with Martine and her reunited parents, but to his astonishment, the three sidekicks follow them there, threatening his life again. To reconcile with them, he offers to pay them thirty thousand dollars from his bank account as compensation for the loss of the ransom. But do they accept the offer and spare his life?
