I have been acquainted with Mrs. Hugee Wilson for several years and always known her to be of the highest human caliber- committed, sincere and hardworking.

Mrs. Hugee Wilson is a homegrown Washingtonian and a University of the District of Columbia Firebird and scholar through-and-through. She has earned an Associate Degree in Criminology and Sociology and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science, both from UDC. In addition to her studies at UDC, Mrs. Hugee Wilson has been an active member of her community for decades. Furthermore, she has overcome obstacles in her personal life to achieve the status of an “award-winning humanitarian.”

Among her highest and most rewarding priorities is the work she does within prisons for the rehabilitation of inmates and her work with returning citizens to help them reacclimate to life outside the confines of incarceration. Even more, she receives heartfelt joy from providing mentorship to the children of incarcerated parents. It should be noted that while she cares for the youth of others she also enjoys serving as a full-time mother to her own two children. Mrs. Hugee Wilson is also a talented entrepreneur who shares her many talents through business consultation, speaking engagements and crafts fashioned from African and other multiethnic designs.

Mrs. Hugee Wilson has the unique ability to interact with individuals on all levels to achieve an organization’s mission. She respects diversity and has built a successful track record as someone who can balance multiple demands and is flexible to respond to changing conditions. Mrs. Hugee Wilson is known in the Ward 8 community as a reliable and stabilizing force.

I was both impressed and proud to learn that Mrs. Hugee Wilson’s scholarly works were being compiled into a book. I was not however surprised. Mrs. Hugee Wilson is a person who works just as hard to achieve her highest potential as she inspires others to do the same.
