Dear Reader,
This book grew out of a simple yet consistent question:
"What really moves people forward?"
My name is Dalibor Medic. For many years, I have operated in the world of martial arts, high-performance sport, and personal protection. Across all of these fields, the same truth holds: progress does not happen by chance, but through clear methods, consistent training, and the willingness to work on oneself.
My path has taken me through dojangs and training halls, but also out into the open and into real operational scenarios. I have had the privilege of working with elite athletes, with personal protection professionals, and with those who are not chasing a performance goal but a life goal: to feel stronger, more mobile, and more focused. Out of these experiences, the TAEKWON-DO Fit Class was born — a training method that was not developed at a desk, but where training actually works: on the mat, in the open air, in direct contact with people and their individual goals. This book is intentionally compact. It is not a textbook in the traditional sense, but rather an entry point. A preview. An invitation to take action. Within these pages you will find a curated selection of exercises and concepts from various disciplines: techniques for high and clean kicks, specialized stretching, strength-balance holds for improving balance and mobility, bodyweight strength training, outdoor training, and straightforward methods for tracking your progress. Because only those who measure their progress know where they stand — and where they are headed.
You do not need to be a TAEKWON-DO fighter to benefit from this book. You do not need to be in top shape or particularly flexible. All you need is the willingness to start and to take responsibility for your own progress. You set the pace. A more comprehensive work covering the full TAEKWON-DO Fit Class is already in the works. But change does not begin someday — it begins now. This book is here to help you take that first step.
I look forward to accompanying you on part of this journey.
