This work was written as a manual to explore the nature of traumatic stress and introduce awareness of factors that facilitate adaptation and mastery over the trauma sustained in reality which can never be erased. “Media-Terror” is the term the author uses to indicate the unrestrained media reporting of traumatic events or diseases that multiplies a collective discontent to a global stress crisis. When Peter Duesberg, Ph.D. first published his epic “Inventing the AIDS Virus” in 1996 we did not realize his vision would become the harbinger of things to come. He set forth principles that governed the exploration of infectious viral transmission and fallacies that were prevalent in the conclusions and dogma promulgated by our beloved NIH and CDC scientists. We owe Duesberg a debt of gratitude as he became more relevant today than yesterday.Inspired by Dr. Duesberg’s work, I first published “Aftermath, A War of memories” in 2008 which addressed two areas of my concern: PTSD and Viruses. As a physician psychiatrist during the Vietnam War in 1968 I attended to the emotional casualties of war. In 1984 I found many Vietnam veterans fearful of having Agent Orange toxicity and HIV from past drug abuse. PTSD and HIV positivity; it was a daunting task to understand and develop the therapeutic approach to deal with veteran patients having both issues contemporaneously.Two questions haunted me in the ensuing years. I was compelled to take the initiative and present my experiences in a more direct manner which culminated in the rewriting and publishing, “Stress God and Disorder” in 2019: Do viruses really exist? Is PTSD really a disorder or failure to provide established principles of dynamic psychotherapy?I offer herein my conclusions based on common sense principles of psychiatry and medicine. PTSD is not a disorder! As for viruses, I offer my definition- Virus: a noun, a convention or technology driven method to create or thereby prove the existence of finite matter!The a priori is the basis that viruses exist, period! How do we know that such is true? Aristotle’s unmovable mover, primum movens, and Thomas Aquinas’ proofs of the existence of God would come into play here when the virus dogma is challenged. An entity, for example, Hepatitis C (virus) that causes no symptoms, can be hidden within the body forever and its existence can only be determined by testing! The fear is that cancer will ensue. The human body can respond to myriad of internal and external factors, “constitutional symptoms,” as fever, nausea, cough, malaise, etc. that are non-specific but too often attributed to some family of viruses! “You have a virus, it’s going around.” But, what is the proof that viruses really exist and have existed before vaccinations (1800’s) when there was no technology to affirm the hypothesis of causation and existence? The pharmaceutical industry and media are without challenges from a feckless medical community mindless or ignorant of its own passivity in contributing inordinate stress and confusion to a naïve public.Do viruses exist only in theory because other causes of disease symptoms are not known? Or, is the dogma tainted and masquerading as truth?
