The Screen Guild Theater was a CBS radio anthology series that was broadcast from 1939 until 1952, during what was known as The Golden Age of Radio. Besides entertaining listeners with broadcasts featuring adaptations of popular motion pictures of the day, the program had a charitable aspect. Fees that would ordinarily have been paid to the performers were instead donated to the Motion Picture Relief Fund, and were later used for the construction and maintenance of the Motion Picture Country House, where retired, ill or indigent film performers could live out their final years in comfort.

And the stars who willingly gave up their fees were some of the biggest names in the business: Humphrey Bogart, Gary Cooper, Bing Crosby, Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra, and many more!

The Screen Guild Theater enjoyed a long run, lasting for 14 seasons and 527 episodes. Each broadcast is listed in this book, with cast, show synopsis, broadcast dates, and other relevant details.
