Akhenaten: A Thug's Life After Death began with a promise. In my first book, published in 2022, I announced that I would write it. I even started. But the manuscript remained unfinished, dormant inside my computer. Years later, I began to wonder whether the delay belonged to the story itself.

Then came June 16, 2026-what would have been Tupac Shakur's 55th birthday. Something clicked. Instead of reopening the old manuscript, I began a new book from scratch. Almost immediately, a pattern I call "the family lock" came into view.

Tupac's father, Billy Garland, was born in 1949. I was born in 1977. In 2026, I turn 49 while Billy turns 77. My mother was born in 1955, the year Emmett Till was murdered. In 2026, she turns 71 while Tupac, born in 1971, would have turned 55. Birth years seemed to answer one another through ages: 1949 and 1977 became 49 and 77; 1955 and 1971 became 55 and 71.

Behind these correspondences stood 1996, the year Tupac died. Afeni Shakur and Assata Shakur were both 49. Thirty years later, I would reach that same age. The numbers had been there all along. What changed was their position.

The writing moved with an urgency that reminded me of Tupac's creative intensity. His Makaveli album, The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory, inspired a parallel in my own process: the "3-Month Theory." Sparked on June 16, the book moved toward September 13, 2026-the thirtieth anniversary of his death. A project that had slept for years suddenly demanded to be written.

At its center is a radical spiritual proposition: that Tupac carried the returning soul-current of Pharaoh Akhenaten, while my own consciousness moved through Tutankhaten and later Emmett Till before entering this present life. I explore that proposition through names, dates, dreams, family relationships, physical markings, songs, sacred symbols, and experiences whose meaning often emerged long after the events themselves.

From the opening of Tutankhamun's tomb to the opening of Emmett Till's casket, from Akhenaten's Aten to Tupac's language of reincarnation, a recurring idea guides the journey: the event arrives first; the meaning waits. Dreams precede events. Names appear before revelations. Music acquires new meaning across generations. A book announces itself before the conditions exist for it to be written.

I call my method of examining these connections Soul Charting. Guided by Maat-truth, balance, and right order-this book does not ask readers to confuse symbolism with historical proof. It asks: What happens when seemingly independent points begin forming a constellation?

Part memoir, part spiritual investigation, part Hip-Hop archaeology, Akhenaten: A Thug's Life After Death explores identity and the possibility of return through tombs, caskets, microphones, dreams, bloodlines, numbers, and stars.

I announced the book in 2022. It went to sleep. In 2026, the family lock opened, and I started again.

Perhaps the book was never late. Perhaps it was waiting for the combination.
