Just like my education, my beliefs, or not, were completely absent since I was a child.
My memories of the Catholic religion are a genuine nightmare, like the rest of my childhood and adulthood I tried to live in my birthplace town. Someday I will tell all the truth of how I have always been treated.
Luckily, I was called to do my mandatory military service in Mahón, where I met truly devout Catholics who completely changed my way of thinking about religion.
I can still say that I am not a religious person, but I have always been a very spiritual one.
If God is love, I am the most Catholic person, but that's not how the real world works. Usually, people who use the name of a superior entity (Jehová, Jesus, Alá..call it how you like) the more knows nothing about themselves and they have a more self-steem, after all, God is in his side.
And that is history since the beginning of times. I have seen so many ignorance mascaraed after big causes... that is simply human nature, my friend.
Anyway, I find peace in cathedrals and churches, just as I find it in museums and libraries; after all, art and beauty are everywhere. So here it´s my little tribute to all the genuine religious people that I was lucky to meet in my way.
