Diamond Legacies is a baseball simulation game for one or two players. After picking the teams, you determine the lineups and managerial strategy; die rolls and charts determine what happens on the field of play. Each ballplayer in the game represents a real player in baseball history with ability ratings based on his actual statistics.
For this volume of Diamond Legacies, the year is 1927. Ratings are provided for the major league ballplayers on each team in the National League, American League, Negro National League, and Eastern Colored League from that year. You can replay the World Series or any team’s entire 1927 season. You can select all-star squads from the different leagues to play against each other. Or you can find out what would have happened if the top Negro League stars played on MLB teams that year. If you have the first volume in the Diamond Legacies series, teams from 1934 could square off against teams from 1927.
All you need to start playing is this book and a set of percentile dice (not included). Travel back to the historic ballparks of 1927 and watch the diamond exploits of Babe Ruth, Bill Terry, Turkey Stearnes, Cool Papa Bell, Lou Gehrig, Bullet Rogan, Jim Bottomley, and Bill Foster. These legends and all the other big league players from 1927 are ready to take the field again!
