The purpose of this book is to improve High-Low (HL) betting for the two deck game by adding the side count 57m9c, which is unbalanced at four per deck, to the HL. The 57m9c is used with the HL only for betting with betting running count (brc) = HL + ½*(57m9c) which has an unbalance of two per deck. The standalone HL is used for all playing strategy deviations as usual with the normal HL true count calculations used for strategy changes.
For two deck betting, a simplified formula is derived that does not involve any true count calculations but instead is based on the HL and the shifted 57m9c (s57m9c) which can be kept using a stack of chips. If using a stack of chips draws attention, s57m9c can be kept mentally along with the HL.
As alternatives to using 57m9c as a side count to HL for the two deck game, also included in this book are side counts 7m9c and 57m29c, both of which are balanced and so can be used in the shoe game as well and can be kept with a stack of chips or kept mentally with HL. 7m9c was covered in a previous book. HL with 7m9c but 57m29c was not covered. HL with 57m29c should be seriously considered as a side count to HL for the shoe game and is covered in Chapter 3 of this book.
Finally if a second side count is desired to increase playing efficiency consider adding Am6c as a second side count which is covered in detail in HL with 7m9c and Am6c.
