The Paddling Trip Debrief Logbook is a practical field tool for people who travel on inland waters.
Designed for canoeists, kayakers, packrafters, and recreational paddlers, this logbook can be used during or after the trip – when the details are still clear and the lessons are obvious. Each outing is reviewed through a structured debrief that focuses on what actually mattered on the water: pace, wind and current, loading and trim, route choices, energy use, and recovery.
The format is simple and highly practical. Checkboxes allow you to capture key information quickly – at the take-out, at camp, or back at the car.
Used consistently, the logbook helps you spot patterns you would otherwise forget: conditions that slow you down more than expected, gear that adds weight without benefit, decisions that worked – and those that didn’t. Over time, this leads to more realistic planning, safer trips, and fewer repeated mistakes.
Each trip is recorded on a dedicated two-page spread. The book is built to be practical, durable, and easy to use in real conditions.
This logbook is for paddlers who want to make fewer assumptions and better decisions on their next trips.
