The sports history in this country from colonial times through the waves of immigration in the late 20th Century are examined closely and much like soccer, it is ethnic communities that fueled the growth of cricket in the US. Cricket was played during the Revolutionary War by the Continental Army at Valley Forge and now is being played once again in mass within the United States.

We also examine the growth of Cricket in Canada, the West Indies, India, Australia and South Africa to give perspective on the decline, fall and rise again of the sport in the United States.
