This is a photograph book of New York City, including several angles and time periods of pictures from differenct observation decks and large-format photos spanning two pages.
This book provides solutions and references for the following shooting problems.
1- The daylight and window periods in New York are extremely short. I captured the most representative and optimal shooting periods throughout the day.
2- The buildings in New York are always under construction. I decided to shoot in 2026 because the building boom that followed the 2008 financial crisis in New York had basically come to a halt. So it is possible to display all the building facades.
3- It is difficult to find good shooting positions and new shooting ideas. Many shooting positions are obtained through continuous experimentation.
In 2026, I visited New York for the first time and took a lot of photos,. I thought to myself, why not put them together into an album? And behind this idea was a serendipitous story.
That day, as I was walking across the Brooklyn Bridge, it suddenly started raining, so I took shelter under one of the bridge piers. After the rain stopped, I went up to the observation deck at the World Trade Center and found the blue hour lighting absolutely stunning. Thankfully, the rain had cleared the sky. Later, when I posted the video on WeChat's short-video platform, it received over 20,000 views, which made me realize that many people actually love this kind of recording.
