What if the Chicxulub asteroid didn't randomly hit the Earth 66 million years ago-but was a deliberate act of sabotage by the interplanetary civilizations known as the Alliance? Colonel Jake McKinnon nor renowned astrophysicist Susan Harris knew any of this when they volunteer to lead a skeleton crew on the first government-sanctioned time-travel experiment. Jake's most pressing concern is preventing Brock Tate, CEO of the Spect-R corporation, from advertising the mission as a future safari expedition to hunt dinosaurs-a venture worth billions. The 72-hour mission becomes a hellish nightmare when the ship is downed by an alien entity and ravaged by dinosaurs and vermin of the time. If not for the intervention of a mysterious figure, all would have been lost. The crew returns to the present buried underground and embroiled in a scheme by Peter Nales to destroy their vessel. A miraculous rescue by amateur fossil hunter Bobby Hurley, as well as Jake and Susan's daughter, Ashli Harris, saves the day. However, scientists make a horrifying discovery: materializing back in time caused a ripple effect and changed the course of the Chicxulub asteroid. Peter Nales' plan had worked to perfection. In six months' time, humanity will be replaced by the Earth's rightful inhabitants-dinosaurs.
